Stitched

Peter Crawley is another designer whose work i find intriguing, the delicate nature of the stitched type and illustrations create a simple yet effective feel. The crisp lines make the type so accurate. I am interested in the experimental nature of this type, he takes a skill that is not necessarily associated with the creation of type and typography and makes it completely relevant. He also explores type as image, the type speaks for itself, it may be slightly obvious but the craft that has gone into it makes it interesting all the same. The accuracy of the stitching makes the type look almost digitally produced or extremely well hand rendered.
